Cape Town Paragliding

Cape Town Paragliding offers tandem paragliding flights from Signal Hill and Lions Head, the launch site depends on the wind direction at the time.

Over the centuries flying has evolved from a transport system into an extreme recreational sport. Where better to embark on a Tandem Paragliding adventure than in Cape Town – the city that boasts the nomination for most spectacular Paragliding destination in the world?

Lion’s Head presents the perfect platform from where to launch. Feel on top of the world, literally, as you experience the excitement of moving with the air currents, 669 meters above sea level, with the Mother City and the sandy, white beaches of Camps Bay and Clifton far below.

How long does the flights last?

Anything from 5 to 30 minutes. “5 minutes! That’s really short!” We know and we agree. We like to have long flights as much as you do. However, paragliding is weather dependent and the duration of the flight depends on the amount of lift available at the time. This is constantly changing and flight durations vary throughout the day and from day to day.

Can I take my own camera on the flight?

Yes! But at your own risk. We take no responsibility for any loss or damage to your personal possessions. Our pilots will offer you photos and video at a small extra cost which allows you to sit back and just enjoy the flight. We use the awesome GoPro cameras to capture high quality video and photos of your whole flight. You can view the photos and video after the flight without any obligation to purchase them.
