Trail distance: 12km depending on water levels Only 130 kilometres from Cape Town, the Breede River near Worcester winds its way through the wine lands below the Langeberg Mountains. The day starts when you meet your guide(s) at our venue (directions will be provided upon booking), where you park your vehicle safely for the day. After fitting life-jackets everybody will be transported to the put-in point, 12.5 kilometres upstream, where our two-man inflatable rafts and other equipment will be waiting for you. After the safety briefing on the river bank it is time to start a relaxing paddle through a picturesque landscape where the fast-flowing channels interchange with long dark pools and willowed banks. The section that we paddle is not just channels and pools; there are several small rapids, weirs and riffles that we have to negotiate. At one of our stops a delicious (and famous) lunch will be prepared by your guiding crew; consisting of rolls, cold meats, salads, fruit, water and some wine to taste. After an exceptional day of paddling down the river, drifting, swimming, and enjoying the beautiful scenery, you will end up at the take-out point (our venue where your car is parked). Sadly, this will also be the time and place for you to say farewell to your guide(s) and fellow paddlers before you head home.
